Richard P. Johnson, Ph.D.,
Specialties: Adolescent Problems, Young Adults, Affective Disorders (Teens to Geriatrics), Substance Abuse, Hypnosis, Adoption, Difficult Patients (Personality Disorders) Dr. Johnson is founder, Co-director, and Chief Executive Officer of Psychological Services & Human Development Center, Inc. He received his Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1982. He has served as the Executive Director of various mental health, and drug and alcohol treatment service agencies from 1972-1977, and was the Deputy Director for Community Programs at the Northeast Philadelphia Community Mental Health Center from 1982-1985. He has been in full time private practice since 1985. He has been active in a variety of professional and community groups. He was an elected member of the Cheltenham Township Board of School Directors, and a member of the board of directors of the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists. Dr. Johnson specializes in the treatment of emotional and personality disorders that are resistant to treatment. He is also well equipped to help children experiencing the transition from childhood to adolescence, and adolescence to adulthood. He welcomes your questions.

Her areas of specialization include diagnostic psychological evaluations, therapy with adults, adolescents and children. She completed a child and adolescent internship. Pauline is a Licensed Psychologist, and former educator, with 20 years experience in psychotherapy. She has worked in a variety of treatment settings since 1994, and has contributed to the professional development of other clinicians through consultation and trainings, and as adjunct faculty for Arcadia University. She is co-author of a book chapter entitled “Residential Treatment Centers for Conduct Disorder”, published by Springer. Dr. Robison specializes in difficult to treat adolescent behaviors such as self injury, addiction, and oppositional behaviors. She also treats adults for issues such as trauma, mood and personality disorders, or addiction. In 2004 she began a dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training group modified for adolescents which runs Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm in our Fort Washington office. She often runs additional groups, such as a mentoring group for older adolescents and children, and a trauma recovery empowerment group. Frances Meehan, Psy.D.,
Dr. Meehan attained her Clinical Psychology Doctoral Degree from Widener University. She has extensive experience in providing treatment for a wide range of emotional problems with varying severity and symptomology. Also, Dr. Meehan is the Administrative Supervisor of the Adult Outpatient Department at a Community Mental Health Center where she supervises other therapists and carries her own caseload of clients.

Nadeem Shamsi completed his residency training in adult psychiatry and elective in children and adolescent psychiatry from the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital in 1998, and elective in geriatric psychiatry from the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. From the time of his residency training, Dr. Shamsi has been involved in treating populations of various age groups and treating patients with a diversity of diagnoses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive and anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, dementia, and associated behavioral problems and childhood disorders.
